Rovers announced last month they were in negotiations with the Indian businessman, with the club being bought, freed from debt and £100 million for new players just for good measure.
But it has been all quiet for too long now after stories of unpaid debts came along prompting Big Sam to come out and say things don’t look good.
He said: "If it's happening, it's going to happen in the next week or two.
But whether it does happen or not seems now doubtful, for whatever reason I don't know, I'm not privy to that information yet."
