Big Sam Allardyce wants his side to carry on where they left off as far as their home form is concerned when his side take on Portsmouth at Ewood Park at the weekend. But he knows it won't be an easy game.

Rovers have lost just one game at home this season, that was against Manchester City on the opening day, but dismal on the road performances mean that Rovers need to carry on winning on their own patch.

"As a team who plays at home we are a top-six team or better," Allardyce told Sky Sports News.

"We have secured two points per game throughout the season and we have played very well indeed, particularly against Aston Villa and Burnley, and we have got to continue that mode.

"If we can do that I am very confident we can secure three points on Saturday, but it will be a very difficult game."
