"Stephen has been our driving force," Allardyce said.
"He's been a revelation since we put him infield. The only thing missing for him was a well-deserved goal which he could have got today if not for a combination of Mark Schwarzer and the post.
"His performances drive the whole team at the moment but it doesn't matter who scores as long we get the victory and we did that."
