Blackburn V Charlton at Ewood Park - Match Preview

Rovers receive double boost

Blackburn's influential attacking duo Josh King and Jordan Rhodes are both set to overcome their respective injuries when Gary Bowyer's men host Charlton.

Norway winger King (thigh) and Scotland international Rhodes (groin) were unavailable for their countries in midweek yet have been back training with Rovers along with Scott Dann (groin).

Dann could assume the captain's armband once more as fellow centre-back Grant Hanley begins a three-game ban for his dismissal against Wigan while the clash is likely to come too soon for long-serving midfielder David Dunn (knee).

Northern Ireland international Corry Evans will definitely miss out, though, as he awaits the results from a scan on an ankle injury he sustained on international duty yet midfielder Dickson Etuhu (knee) and striker DJ Campbell (ankle) are nearing returns.

Charlton could welcome back Johnnie Jackson and Yann Kermorgant when they head to Blackburn.

Skipper Jackson has missed three matches with a groin problem and striker Kermorgant has been carrying an ankle injury for five weeks.

They have edged closer to fitness over the international break, but manager Chris Powell is conscious that both players attempted comebacks from injuries earlier this season only to break down again.

Powell has no new selection worries following their last outing, a 0-0 draw against Blackpool, but defenders Leon Cort and Chris Solly are still on the sidelines due to knee problems.
