Dunn set for Rovers return

Blackburn's longest-serving player David Dunn is expected to return to the squad for the Sky Bet Championship clash against Doncaster.

Boss Gary Bowyer revealed the central midfielder had trained with the club all week after missing Rovers' most recent four games because of a hamstring problem.

Full-back Todd Kane is still considered at least a week away from his comeback from a thigh problem while ankle-injury victim Corry Evans only had his first full training session this week and would be a surprise inclusion.

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson is expected to keep his place after coming through his first start in over a year unscathed against Manchester City in the FA Cup but midfielder Dickson Etuhu (ankle) remains absent.

Doncaster boss Paul Dickov is likely to make changes .

Dickov was left "raging" by Rovers FA Cup defeat at home to Stevenage last weekend. Richie Wellens missed that third-round tie after his short-term contract expired on New Year's Day but the experienced midfielder has this week signed a new deal and is expected to go straight back into the starting line-up.

Former Bolton and West Brom defender Abdoulaye Meite has also signed for the club but it remains to be seen whether Doncaster will receive international clearance in time for the centre-half to make his debut at Ewood Park.

Fellow defender Bongani Khumalo and striker Billy Paynter are fit again after injury absences, both were on the bench against Stevenage, while James Coppinger and James Husband have resumed training but this game may come too soon for them.
