Bruce happy after win over Rovers

Wigan made it look all too easy as they cruised past Rovers 3-0 in a game that was all over for Paul Inces' side in the first eleven minutes.

Rovers remain next to bottom in the table while Wigan move into ninth place, and now the Latics boss has turned his attention to keeping his squad together.

"A big three points - I'm absolutely delighted," said Bruce. "You can see the nucleus of the team I've got, I'm very, very pleased with - the last thing I want to do is dismantle it.

"I've got to keep trying to improve it, that's my job. I've got the backing of the chairman, I know, we'll try and keep hold of the squad and that includes Emile as well."
