Clough Happy With Comeback Against Rovers

Rovers bossed the first half and should have gone in at half time with a bigger reward than the single goal from Jordan Rhodes.

Clough also noted that Rovers were a side containing some proven Premiership players and said that his side did well to get back on terms.

"I said to the players that we have to be at 100% maximum to compete with these teams because of the quality they have," he told reporters.

"I thought their quality shone through, they were very good indeed at getting (David) Dunn and (Morten Gamst) Pedersen on the ball.

"They had an absolutely brilliant goal out of nothing, which is what you get for an £8million striker I suppose.

"But in the end a draw was deserved if only for the second half, not the first.

"We were nowhere near good enough in the first half but we felt the pressure was building and in the last 20 minutes to half an hour we just about deserved it."
