Contract talks on hold for Souness...

Understandably, his number one priority is survival in the Premiership.

Club officials have indicated readiness to offer the manager an extension to his existing contract, which will run out at the end of next season.

This month sees the second anniversary of Souness at the helm and talks to extend his tenure beyond the original agreement will now take place at the end of the season.

"If they want to keep me, that's great because I want to stay," said Graeme.

"I will sit down with John Williams, at the end of the season to talk about that. It's something to leave until the end of the season, which was the plan we spoke about at Christmas anyway."
