The Rovers defender suffered a foot injury in the 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield on Wednesday and will have an X-ray to determine the extent of the injury.
"There's a little bit of concern as he has had a metatarsal injury in the past," said manager Mark Hughes.
"But he was able to walk, which was something he couldn't do apparently when he had the problem before."
