Diouf Not Certain Of Future At Ewood

The Rovers boss has revealed that he let the somewhat troublesome player go to the Scottish giants simply because he could not guarantee him first team football anymore at Ewood Park.

It was looking good for Diouf when he first arrived at Rangers, he put in some very good performances, but he showed his true colours in a game against deadly rivals Celtic and since that game – in which he was sent off – he has been mainly sitting on the bench.

Kean said: "He was always a good lad and always worked hard.

"The thing that was going to be difficult for El Hadji was we've got a young lad here, Junior Hoilett, who is a talent and I wanted to play Junior.

"And I said to El Hadji, you are not going to play as much as you normally do, and he is at a stage of his career where he wanted to play.

"I don't know if he will want to come back."
