Disappointing end to season

We could rightly expect Birmingham to be up for it but it became farcical as the game came to an end with Birmingham relegated because of results elsewhere but still managing to bang in 4 goals against Rovers.

The defeat ended any hopes of making 6th place and the Intertoto Cup spot which Blackburn would have made if they had managed to beat Birmingham. Aston Villa only drew at West Ham leaving the door ajar but we failed to push it open.
