Other good news is that one of the scorers was youngster Nick Blackman who scored on his debut after joining Rovers earlier in the week.
Blackman scored a second-half goal after Jamie Clarke had opened the scoring in the first half.
Aaron Doran then added a late third from the penalty spot.
