Dunn missed last weekends 2-0 victory over Arsenal at Ewood Park with a hamstring injury, but is now back in training and should return to the starting line-up for the game at St James' Park on Saturday.
"The injury has responded to treatment and I feel fine again now," Dunn told the Rovers official website www.rovers.co.uk
"The lads played really well on Saturday, I just hope I can get back into the line-up for Newcastle.
"It was very frustrating having to watch the win over Arsenal, especially after I had only just come back and was getting some form going again."
