Speculation has it that big Sam will be looking for a midfielder or two in the January transfer window and Elm had been linked.
But the 21 year old has moved to let it be known that he has no intention of joining Rovers.
"I am definitely not," Elm revealed when quizzed.
"That's totally made up. I like it a lot in Alkmaar."
