Hughes: Burnley Caused Us Problems

With the 5th Round replay all square at 1-1 Morten Gamst Pedersen smashed an ustoppable right-foot shot beyond a bemused Brain Jensen in the Burnley goal five minutes from time to book Rovers a place in the quarter-finals and a home tie against Leicester City.

"Our performance wasn't what was needed, we made it hard but stuck at it without reaching the level we should," Hughes said after the 2-1 win at Ewood Park.

"Credit to them, they had a game plan and stuck to it and caused us problems.

"But we're in the next round and over the two games we deserved to go through but we'll have to perform a little better if we're to progress further."
