"You're never quite sure what's going to happen when there's a new manager at a club, never quite sure what the reaction of the players and fans will be, so it was a difficult game in that respect," the Rovers boss said after the 3-2 win at White Hart Lane.

"I'd have been happy with the draw and then Chris Samba comes up with a fantastic strike.

"We needed something out of this game and I'm delighted to get three points as we have some tough games coming up."
