Nothing less than a win for Birmingham will offer them a chance of survival. Blackburn need to win at St Andrews and Aton Villa fail to beat West Ham at Upton Park for Rovers to finish the season in 6th place.

"Everyone is aware of Birmingham's plight and it is going to be a very difficult day for them irrespective of what we do," said the Rovers boss.

"It is important we don't get wrapped up in their situation. There is a lot riding on it for both clubs.

"We have to be ready for the atmosphere. I'm sure everyone will be trying to get an insight into what is happening in the other games.

"We have just go to go out there and get our job done and attain what we want.

"It is going to be tense but if we show anything like what we are capable of I think that will further worry them."
