"We're hurting somewhat. We've not made the most of the injuries we've had this year," the Rovers boss said after the 1-0 away defeat.

"But we have been a little lightweight and Dunn's injury early on just compounded it.

"We never really got a foothold into the game until the second half, but credit to Everton who defended exceptionally well.

"We came in 1-0 down at half-time and to be honest we were fortunate, but it gave us time to regroup.

"But Everton were really solid and we couldn't get a foothold when we needed it."
