Hughes: We Didn't See That Coming

Rovers had led at Upton Park against the newly promoted hammers only to end up losing the game after conceding three second half goals.

"Following our pre-season we certainly didn't see this result coming," Hughes said after the defeat.

"We're scratching our heads but at least it's only our first game of the season and we can put things right.

"We looked very comfortable in the first half and after Andy Todd had given us the lead we might even have gone 2-0 up.

"But we lost our momentum and when West Ham put us under pressure we didn't deal with it.

"Our second-half performance was unacceptable."
