Tonight Rovers face Sunderland with a place in the quarter finals at stake and it will also be good to win the game to gain a psychological advantage for when the teams meet in the Premier league a few days later.

And Rovers have not won for six matches.

Ince said: "It is a big match as the winners reach the quarter-finals.

"Then you can start thinking about claiming the trophy. A win would also set us up nicely for Saturday.

"It is important to us to have a good cup run, be it the Carling Cup or FA Cup, as it is an avenue into Europe.

"We may not have won for a few games but the confidence has not been affected as we are playing good stuff."
