Rovers’ are willing to pay most of the player’s wages in a bid to get Jansen match fit again and a move to Highfield Road has been agreed in principle.

“Coventry are Matt’s number one choice for a lot of different reasons. Gary McAllister is an up and coming good manager who has got his team playing good football and that was one of the main reasons why Matt has decided to join them.

“They watched him in the reserves at Middlesbrough on Tuesday night and have been watching him in quite a few games recently and apparently been very impressed with what they have seen.”
