However, after making a quicker than expected recovery he has returned to Portman Road where Ipswich will monitor the striker before deciding on whether or not to extend the loan deal into the rest of the season.
"I'm recovering quicker than I expected and have come back to Ipswich for the physio staff to have a look at how things are progressing," Jeffers told the official Ipswich Town website.
"I'm here for the week to continue my rehab and we'll take it from there."
