Sam Allardyce was impressed with the 23-year-old after he came for a trial at Rovers in January and was said to be happy to hand the player a contract.

But Lee turned the offer down on the grounds that he wanted to be guaranteed first team football.

Since then his contract with Daegu FC has run out and the player is now a free agent, this means that he could now be signed straight away by Rovers if he wanted to come and he is keen on playing somewhere in Europe.

"I have many options at this stage. I am carefully going through them. Nothing has been decided about my future yet," Lee told the Korean press.
