The 19-year-old midfielder has impressed at Oldham in his 12 starts for the club and will now stay at Boundary Park until the end of the season.
Delighted Oldham boss Dave Penney told SSN: "We're absolutely delighted both with the way Alex has played and to have him here until the end of the season.
