The Australian fullback didn't pick up many friends amongst the fans at Ewood Park when he left for West Ham in January 2007 to chase the big buck.

Now with West Ham in financial trouble, high earners like Neill look like being moved on during the January transfer window.

Reports claim Sam Allardyce is ready to offer a three-year deal to the 30-year-old.
