The Australian international right-back has already turned down one offer of a new contract at Ewood Park.

Rovers turned down a bid from Liverpool for the 28-year-old former Millwall player last week and are keen to tie him to a new deal as he would be allowed to leave for free when his present contract expires next summer.

"He did turn our first offer down before the World Cup but we will be offering him an improved version," Rovers chairman John Williams has said.
