No New Striker Bid

Reports had claimed that Rovers initial bid of £200,000 was turned down for the forward by Excelsior and that they had now tabled a new bid of £500,000.

These reports have been strongly denied by Rovers chief executive John Williams.

"We tabled a £200,000 bid to the club, which was turned down, and we have not gone back to them with an improved offer," Williams has told the clubs official website.
