No Play-Off Talk Says Boss

Rovers have lifted themselves up the table with three wins on the bounce and now are within four points of a top six place.

The 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town at Ewood Park boosted Rovers up the table a massive five places, but while the boss does not mind the fans having the optimism for reaching the play offs, he wants his players to keep their feet on the ground and take it one game at a time.

Ahead of the trip to the Amex to face Brighton, Appleton told the Lancashire Telegraph: “It has to be that way. You would be a silly, silly man to do anything different. We have got six or seven games in such a short period of time and we have a hell of a lot of points to play for.

“If you get carried away yourself, I have been in football long enough to know that it bites you on the bum quickly."
