Ooijer Blow For Rovers

The defender has been in good form this season, especially with the absence of Chris Samba and Ryan Nelsen, and Rovers are waiting to see the results of a scan.

Manager Mark Hughes believes his absence would be a major blow for Rovers.

"He's been playing excellent, he's got fantastic experience, he's played in huge games all across Europe and that experience comes to the fore," Hughes told the official website.

"Of late he has probably been our outstanding performer and we are disappointed that it looks like we are going to lose him for a number of weeks now.

"We hope it is not too bad with Andre, it is obviously going to take a couple of days before we know the full extent of the injury, I would imagine if it is the hamstring again then it is going to be a minimum of three to four weeks.

"But by the time the game against Bolton comes around Chrissy Samba is available so that softens the blow somewhat."
