Rovers Fans Hail Todd

Andy Todd has been through thick and thin over the past year, highlighted when he had a training ground bust up with former manager Graeme Souness.

Todd was even on the verge of signing for Premiership hopefuls Wigan Athletic, but chose to stay with Blackburn after Souness left for Newcastle United. That decision has proven vital, and his performances have helped Rovers climb the league table and most importantly, out of the relegation zone.

Todd was unhappy last season after being dropped in favour for Italian defender Lorenzo Amoruso, but since Hughes has been in charge Todd has been one of the first names on the teamsheet.

The Rovers fans were even chanting his name in the recent home game with Charlton Athletic - practically unheard of for a defender at Ewood Park since the days of the legend that was Colin Hendry. Hughes is expected to offer a contract to Todd in the coming months.
