Blackburn Rovers are set to receive another major cash boost if the sale of Southampton's James Beattie to Everton goes through.
Beattie signed for Southampton from Rovers in 1998 for £1m, although a clause was included which stipulated that Rovers would recieve 20% of any profit made from a sell-on.The striker, who came through the Rovers academy, is on the verge of a £6m move to Everton. The move would see Mark Hughes' transfer kitty boosted by approximately £1m - a timely injection ahead of the transfer window re-opening tomorrow.
