Both players are down to their last year on their current contracts, but both players were injury prone last time around.

Reid made four appearances at the start of the last season, but knee problems kicked in and he had to undergo an operation which put and end to his season.

Dunn made 17 appearances last season but he has already expressed a wish to remain with the club after his current contract comes to an end.

And the duo remain two of Rovers’ key players when fit.

Rovers had already confirmed that they are due to start talks with Morten Gamst Pedersen, whose deal also expires at the same time.

“David and Steven have both got a year left, so we’ll sit down and have a chat with them,” said Rovers chairman John Williams.

“We’ve got David, Steven and Morten in that position.”
