Rovers Taking Another Look At Striker

The 23-year-old forward, who is currently playing for La Louviere in the Belgium League, has already spent a time training with the Rovers squad and chief executive John Williams has said that he has been invited back for a further trial.

"Peter came over and he's certainly done enough for us to want to see him again," Williams told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

"We've not been able to watch him in games because trialists aren't even allowed to play in reserve games and tomorrow's at Sunderland would have been ideal.

"So we haven't seen him play nearly as much as we would have liked and we can't afford to make mistakes, so the next best thing is to bring him back to Brockhall.

"We've made an indicative offer to his club, subject to him impressing sufficiently in his second trial. But there's not been any conversation about personal terms, it's just a continuation to judge him."
