Rovers Transfer Update

Aaron Mokoena
24-year old Racing Genk defender is expected to join the club in the next few days after agreeing terms with Rovers. Rovers will pay the Belgium club £600k for his services after Mokoena impressed on a trial at Brockhall. The ex-Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen defender is the South Africa captain and will bring pace, leadership and strength to the Rovers defence.

Ryan Nelsen
27-year old DC United defender is currently awaiting a work permit decision after also agreeing terms after impressing in trials. The New Zealand captain can also play in midfield. Was widely regarded as the best centre back in the MLS last season.

Robbie Savage
Birmingham City manager insists Rovers will have to pay 'over the odds' for the Welsh midfielder, despite Savage sending out messages that he wants to re-unite with former national manager Mark Hughes.

John Hartson
Rovers boss Mark Hughes has announced that Hartson is another player Rovers are looking at. The striker's contract at Celtic runs out in the summer so is likely to be available on the cheap.

Jonathan Spector
19-year old defender has signed on-loan for the rest of the season from Premiership rivals Manchester United. Unlikely to be in immediate contention for a first-team place, but is expected to provide cover for regulars.
