The striker who went to Manchester City for far too much money in July 2009 is now back to try and resurrect his career after not being able to get in City’s first team under current manager Roberto Mancini.
The 29 year old has started only one match this season, which was in the Carling Cup at the Hawthorns when City took on West Brom.
He returns to the club where goals seemed to be no object for him after Mark Hughes brought him in from Bayern Munich.
