The influential midfielder, who has been out injured since the beginning of March with a groin injury and was close to a return to action last weekend, will be hoping to prove his fitness in time to be included in Mark Hughes' first team squad for this weekend's FA Cup semi-final tie against Arsenal in Cardiff.
