Sheringham Bid Rebuffed

The former Tottenham, Manchester United and England striker, has said that he was told by his Upton Park manager, Alan Pardew, that Rovers boss Mark Hughes had made an enquiry during the transfer window but that he had rejected the offer.
"The manager told me Mark Hughes inquired about me going in a swap deal," Sheringham told the Daily Mirror..
"He turned it down flat and said I was going nowhere. I was quite happy about that. I like the fact the manager wants me to stay."
