Short was dismissed for allegedly raising his hands to Sunderland substitute Kevin Kyle.

This was Shorts second red card of the season. He will miss the Charlton game to Ewood, the trip to Manchester United and the forthcoming cup-ties against Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday.
