"It was a good first half performance and then I thought we were nervous for twenty minutes." said Souness.
"Villa changed it at half-time and it worked for them, they had us on the back foot for a good twenty minutes in the second half and I think that was down to us being nervous.
"But the first half we could easily have been three goals up.
"Obviously when we got our second goal there was big relief and Andy getting the third was icing in the cake for us.
"I think there was more nerves than tiredness.
"I thought we looked threatening in the first half and then towards the end of the game we threatened a bit."
