He has apparently stated he wants another top class defender in preparation for Rovers up-and-coming European campaign.

Twenty-six year old Duberry cost Leeds £5 million in 1999 after signing from Chelsea.

Souness, however, isn't the only one hunting Duberry. Bolton, Everton and Celtic are all in on the game. Reports are stating that Leeds will NOT accept any less for the player than the £5 million sum they put up for him back in '99...

When recently interviewed, the 26 year old Leeds Defender said: "It's no secret that I want to play first-team football. Reserve team football at the age of 26 is not what I want.

"I get on with it and I would never moan about it, but I want to play on a Saturday afternoon in front of a capacity 30,000 crowd showing them what I am made of," he continued...

"It would give me a huge boost if someone wanted to buy me. I will be 27 next season and I have to think of what is right for me..."
