Souness Just Happy With Three Points

The football on a poor Loftus Road pitch was far from pleasing on the eye at times but the Rovers boss was only concerned in the side getting the three vital points to help ease relegation worries.

"We have had a go in all the games bar two this season and on a difficult pitch at Fulham we rolled our sleeves up and had a go," he said after the 4-3 win.

"Our training is about playing the game properly and in the second half we started to get it down and pass it.

"If we do that in our next five games, we have a real chance of staying up."

"It has been a difficult season. Our fans have not enjoyed it and we have not entertained them but if they multiply it several times, that is how we feel.

"Our cause is all about survival and if that means playing the way we did at times at Fulham, then so be it."
