Jon Stead has offically signed for the Black Cats in a 1.8 million pound move.
Jon Stead turned down an offer from Charlton and chose to move north.
It is believed that Stead will lead Sunderlands strike force as Mick McCarthy's side attempt to stay in the top flight next season.
