Trio set for exit

Veteran defender Henning Berg was set to quit football at the end of the current season, but may now sign for either Lillestrom or Valerenga.

Berg has previously played for both the Norwegian clubs.

However, the centre-back who first signed for Rovers nearly a decade ago, has denied the much reported bust-up with Souness.

The News of the World printed an interview in which he reportedly called Souey a coward, but Berg called the fictional interview foolish.

The other shot-stopper looking to ply his trade elsewhere is John Curtis who has seen his chances limited.

More surprisingly, star wideman Keith Gillespie fears for his place.

Gillespie’s contract runs out in the summer and he feels that the purchase of David Thompson is the start of boss Souness’ plans to freeze him out the squad.
