Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has expressed his delight at seeing 19-year-old winger Josh Morris break into the first team at Ewood Park.Academy graduate Morris set up Chris Samba in the 7-1 defeat at Manchester United before making his home debut in Saturday's 3-0 win over Wolves.

"He's another youngster bursting through the seams," Allardyce told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"It's a real delight for me to have so many young players in the squad."

Allardyce added: "We've pushed him up into the squad to see what he's made of - he's had two little tastes now, one was very disappointing last week because he made his debut on the subs bench at Old Trafford but exciting for him and his family.

"This was all about coming on to allow the team to win a game of football, so he's experienced both ends which I hope will help his development."

Morris replaced El-Hadji Diouf with 18 minutes remaining of the match at Ewood Park.

He is the latest in a line of talent to progress from the academy at Brockhall and follows in the footsteps of David Dunn, Damien Duff, Phil Jones and Martin Olsson.
