Worst game of the season?

O'Leary said: "All I can say is that if England want to pick him, he's good enough to do a top job.

"Robbie is a wonderful goalscorer but he is so much more than that. Technically he is very good and he is also a very clever footballer. I just love working with him.

"He's not a bad £11 million's worth, is he? And not a bad goal finisher, either."

Souness branded his team's display as the worst of the season.

He said: "This match kicked off at 2pm and that's when Leeds started playing. We didn't join in until 2.15. This was, without any doubt, our weakest performance in my time at the club.

"It is the easiest three points Leeds will get all season.

"It is disappointing. We didn't turn up. No matter what league you are in - but particularly in the Premiership - you must make sure you are solid and difficult to play against.

"I would like to see their second goal again because I thought it was offside. But, at the end of the day, that doesn't matter because we didn't deserve anything."
