Bolo Zenden has confirmed that Blackburn are interested in signing him, but so far there has been no deal done.

The 35-year-old was with the rest of the Rovers squad training last week and things are supposed to have gone well with Kean being left very interested in signing the player to use his experience to help keep the club up.

Kean’s assistant Eric Black knows the player well as they worked together at Sunderland, it is rumoured that he brought the player to Kean’s attention.

And despite premature reports that he is about to sign, it turns out that he does have other options and needs time to think about his next move.

Zenden told the Lancashire Telegraph:"Blackburn have made me an offer, but we have not yet reached agreement.

"Their interest is very serious. They are in a bad predicament and they need experienced players due to their league position - but that is the same situation for other teams interested in me."
