Jordi Gomez saves the best for last as Blackburn beat MK DonsJordi Gomez scored a stunning injury-time goal as Blackburn snatched a 3-2 win against MK Dons in the Sky Bet Championship. The home side were poor in the first half and the visitors led through a first goal of the season for Samir Carruthers. But Blackburn responded after the break through a lofted Gomez header and Elliott Bennett's first for the club.Alex Revell's tap-in four minutes from time looked to have earned a draw for the visitors, before Gomez became an Ewood Park hero with his second goal - a 30-yard free-kick.Blackburn's first ever victory over MK Dons gave them a second straight win at home

MK Dons are still looking precariously over their shoulder as their woeful away league record stretches to one win in the 16 they have played all season.Rovers boss Paul Lambert drafted Chris Brown in to replace Matt Grimes in the only change from the midweek defeat at Derby, while Dons manager Karl Robinson made two changes of his own, with Nicky Maynard and Carruthers starting.Neither side could get going in a lacklustre first half, though Jake Forster-Caskey's 23rd-minute free-kick was curled brilliantly around the wall and was heading for the top corner until Jason Steele produced a magnificent save to tip the ball against the crossbar.Brown flashed a shot wide and headed over from 10 yards as the hosts struggled to make and finish off chances. And they were made to pay when Dean Bowditch picked out Carruthers in the 37th minute and he lashed powerfully into the bottom corner from 20 yards.Blackburn's best chance of the half came a minute later as Gomez rifled a low drive that Cody Cropper did brilliantly to keep out and Brown blazed the rebound over. The home fans left their side in no doubt about what they thought of the first half and Blackburn responded seven minutes after the break.Cropper parried a Danny Graham effort and Grant Hanley's shot was blocked on the line, but Gomez followed up with a superbly-placed header which beat the man on the line. Then Cropper tipped away a Bennett free-kick and Shane Duffy planted a header wide, but Blackburn went ahead 19 minutes from time when a long throw-in fell to Bennett who struck home a superb low volley. That looked to be it but after Bowditch slid wide with the goal gaping, substitute Josh Murphy crossed for Revell to tap in at the near post with five minutes left. The home fans were preparing to go home frustrated, but Gomez stepped up to curl his long-range free-kick around the Dons wall and past the stretching Cropper to secure a dramatic win
