Tugay opened the score-sheet for Rovers while Andy Cole scored his first goal at Ewood Park to provide a 2-0 half-time lead.

Charlton's Jason Euell brought it back to 2-1 but Craig Hignett and Matt Jansen sealed a satisfying three points for Rovers.
